Default White marks on door panels

They look like they could be from chalk or something. They are not, but best way I can describe them right now. Simple Green didn't work, warm water didn't work & 303 protectant helped some, but once that wears off, they will show through again.

Anyone else have these marks on any cars & how did you get rid of them?

It does have something to do with the composition of the materials in the C6 model. I easily contained mine by cleaning with a light APC and damp towel. I then sealed the interior with Ultima's Interior Sealant. If you choose to use another protectant, follow the reapplication on a normal schedule and you should avoid the white chalky appearance.

Here is a pic of 1 of them. This is after applying 303.

What APC do you use?

I use Blackfire as its designed for automotive use and doesn't sudz up the way some can. Remember to use it on a damp towel and just enough to lightly clean the surface. (test other APC's in a small hidden area first, to assure no color transfer)

It will never stop. My 06 still has them. Any interior cleaner will remove them but they always come back. Has something to do with your body sweat because I took them off once on the passenger side and they have yet to return. I think the name "gassing" has been given to it. It will turn up on the dash and the corners where the dash meets the body and also in any out of the way place you cant get to.

I know it ends, but I've never had a car with them this bad (the pic I posted is not even close to what they did look like) & that's including my old C6.

I don't know if you looked at the 3 links that I posted a few weeks ago, but it seems like post #19 from:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...or-panels.html

has the best answer. I wonder how similar the GM products are to 303 and other products that are out there? Most likely the GM products are pricey.

I keep a spray bottle of distiller water and one of the micro fiber mits specifically for this purpose. A wipe down of the door panels and dash every couple of car washes and the white spots are abated. I am not a fan of dressings for the interior.

1Z Einszett makes a product called Cockpit Premium. It is more of a cleaner, the protectant part has absolutely no gloss it simply looks and smells fresh and like new. It is quite concentrated also.
