The BSD will give great shine and great water action. Doesn't feel that slick, but it's incredible as well.

FYI, calling a Marine "Sarge" is like me calling that green Lambo of yours a Booger.

Wolfgang Fuzion Spray Wax has been released ... not really designed to be used on the Uber Coating, but can be used alone, as a drying-aid, or as a booster to Fuzion Wax. I am certain someone in this group will test it over Uber however ...

Matt , I'm a little late to this thread , but have a question ? Hopefully you will see this. Looked at your first post , and it says you did the paint only with the Uber ceramic. Was wondering if you also did any of the intake vents , side vents , bumper fascia , grill ,headlamps and windshield with the coating ? If so any adverse effects? Was interested in doing same process as you did and did not want to screw any of these up. Thanks for any info and thanks for your service.

Only exterior piece I didn't coat was the wheels because I already had a different wheel coating on them. Even coated the exhaust tips. Everything in your post was coated. No adverse effects.

Can be used on chrome. Check out the below link. In the review he mentions what it can be used on and there are pictures of it being applied to chrome.

Exhaust tips--No issues and I daily drive it.

Matt hope I'm not being too much of a pain in the aXX but one more question if you don't mind. What did you use to prep. your trim pieces ? Same wolfgangs polish and perfekt finish? Thanks again , and I'll try not to keep bothering you.

I didn't polish the carbon flash trim hood vent or side vents. I did use the WG finishing glaze (which is really a polish) on the carbon flash rear valence and side skirts. Perfekt finish on everything I coated. Don't try to polish non painted trim pieces (splash guards, front splitter). Just clean with all purpose cleaner, perfekt finish and coat. Tape any non painted trim pieces off when you are polishing so no polish gets on them.

I don't have any polishing tools so what would a fair price be for a detailer to correct the paint and add a ceramic coating? Any brand of coating better than another?

Anywhere between 350 and 4k (big spread there.)

Some will try to raise price for a "guarantee" that if read properly can be wiggled out of easily.

Most serious detailers will likely provide a minimum charge and hourly rate. The first time often is the longest and as owner you may be able to point out specific areas that you want additional attention.

Speak to the detailer as they may have a specific coating they already use and recommend. It doesn't mean its "better", it may however work well within his/her combo and other chemicals. If they don't offer a true coating ... ask to purchase one and have them install it. Let them know in advance of your consideration and a detailer will have knowledge or study it. (that's the best part of the internet, and detailing forums like www.autogeekonline.com )

Local guy wants about 500 to get rid of swirls and 800-1200 for swirls correction and ceramic coating. Not sure what brand.
