Default Emblem removal

Want to replace rear cross flag emblem on my C6. Body shop can't guarantee no paint damage. What's the best way to do this?

I always use a hair dryer to heat up the badge then take a piece of fishing line in behind the badge and saw back and forth. After the badge is off you can peel off residue like you would a command strip (like you would hand a pic on the wall). You may need to use Goo Gone to get it all off..... Hope this helps!

We use dental floss doubled or tripled over to remove dealer emblems. Then a quick cleanup with a solvent or Wd-40. Just remember that some emblems (like the front emblem on C5/C6) have a pin in them that goes into the body panel. Takes a little more time to remove it, and need to replace with the correct emblem which allows it to be aligned properly.

Did you use a hair dryer first to help release the adhesive?

Good idea, was wearing medical gloves that didn't offer much protection.

wow ... not sure I would use that dental tape between teeth. Sounds like some stubborn glue, actually.

You can saturate the emblem with a little water or a solvent to help loosen the glue, then carefully go back to dental floss.
