Default Foam gun soap type ?

Purchased a foam gun (not a top of the line one and not bottom of the barrel quality). I used Gold Class Meguiars soap (about 4 oz in the foaming container) the foaming action is not what I expected:
Is it the type of soap I used or just a newbie operator ? Thanks !

I use Chemical Guys Soaps. They have good foaming and smelling soaps. Try Maxxi suds or Mr. Pink. Honeydew snow foam is good also. There are forum sponsors that carry these soaps. I'm going to try some others (Adams) when I run out...just don't know too much about them. I'm sure others will chime in and I will learn about them also.

Here is a good video to explain the line up.

There are many great soaps and some like our DP soap that are designed specifically for foam guns. I like Durgaloss, Poorboys and Ultima when using my gun.

Some foam guns (like those from Gilmour) have both a pin setting and a setting rod. Sometimes the setting needs to be changed based upon the soap to control the foam ratio.

I like using the Adams car shampoo in my uber foam cannon works great. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...am-cannon.html ... There is a lot of hype when companies make foam gun "soaps"... I tried a bunch of different kinds and feel like the same soap I use without the gun works well in the gun as well, don't feed into the hype!

I use chemical guys Mr. pink, but now switched to Honeydew Snow Foam. Foam guns are alright, but you need to get a foam cannon, they are awesome, I love mine.
