Default Detail spray for sun

Does someone make a detail spray that won't streak in the sun. Or that can be used on summer day outside car shows. Everything I have tried seems to dry out immediately on hot surface. The Vette is Victory Red. I have resolved to just use water until I find something else. Most products say to use on a cool dry surface in the directions. Anybody have a favorite?

Poorboys world spray and gloss.

Remember, if it's too hot to touch, it's too hot to do anything to.

Optimum has a great UV protectant in its spray wax. This can be done before heading to your show. Then use a light detail spray as needed, or mix up some waterless wash. As offered above, don't use anything on hot paint. A little Wolfgang Uber Rinseless is a great choice for travels.

All of our products can be used in the sun.
Just like the previous generation, use Adam's Detail Spray on paint, glass, chrome, wheels, grills, and trim to safely clean and shine with just a mist and wipe using a premium Adam's microfiber towel. The New Formula is even easier to use, requiring less wiping, and even streaks less than before. The best has truly just gotten better!

I have a few products that claim to work in direct sun. Read the labels, I guess? I have noted that whatever you use, it will dry quickly, so work fast.

Gloss-it detail sprays were developed in Las Vegas extreme heat and UV and have been proven by thousands of loyal customers over the last 8 plus years as there go to product for applying in direct sunlight and hot paint surfaces. Both detail sprays are water based emulsions with polymer technology. No streaking or hazing and work on paint, vinyl wraps, wheel, ( cuts break dust 30%) trim, glass and matte paint.

We are running a memorial day sale with 15% off and free ground shipping. Great time to jump on this offer and use our outstanding detail sprays.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

There's no product that you can use in the hot sun. Like someone just post, if it's too hot for your hand then it's too hot to wash or wax.

Temperature is critical, either you wash and wax at night or early morning.

Don't be fooled into products that say it's safe to use in direct sunlight. Guaranteed you'll ruin your paint job and you'll regret it.

I'm sure other people and some who detail as a professional will say different, but if you're just an average Joe who washes and wax's by hand then don't ruin your car.

I have been struggling with this for a while with going to shows and wanting to wipe the car off after removing the cover (I wash the car when I get to the show fyi) and have found exactly what the Op described-streaks. What I am using now is either Zaino Z-8 or Blackfire diamond polymer spray. these two products have minimal streaking- so I just use another towel to lightly go over the car after wiping with spray and the streaks go away. just my real imperfect world experience

With any product it's very hard to use it in direct sunlight. I've had a little success trying to cast my own shadow over the paint and spray and wipe very quickly. Zaino Z6 or Z8.

Sorry but all sprays and wax's cannot be applied to a c5 corvette paint when hot.

May work on other vehicles but not the vette. "WAY TO SENSITIVE"

It should be noted that "if" you are seeing streaking from any product, often times a lightly damp MF towel will help to resolve it. Again, its best to never apply or clean anything that's HOT. But for minor streaking before showing, often times that lightly damp towel will help remove any over application too.

My cars are all Black and you can cook an egg on the hood at 85 degrees in full sun. I don't touch the surface with anything at full sun.

If you use anything in the sun, just realize your are much more susceptible to scratching the paint and/or etched paint from product drying too soon.

Best rule of thumb, wash and/or wipe your car down in the garage before going to a show. Then sit back and relax after getting to the show.

The new Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash is a great multi-use product. It can be used in the traditional rinseless wash design, as a clay lube, detail spray and more. Its very glossy and has a bit of a slick feeling due to all the lubricants.
