Cleaning Polished Clear Coated Aluminum Wheels
Have a set of Forgeline Wheels coming in a few weeks. As stated, they are polished aluminum and clear coated. What is the best and safest product to use to clean and maintain them ?

I'd give them a good soap and water washing a quick ipa wipe down and apply some Gtechniq C5 wheel armor to them

I agree, if they're coated I would think all you would need to clean them is soap and water..

Clearcoated = Treat them like paint.
1. Use a good safe wheel cleaner as needed (P21S, DP, Griots)
2. Consider using Wheel Woolies or Speedway brush to clean barrels
3. Coat them with a Wheel Coating, or my favorite G-techniqs Wheel Armor
After this, most the time a simple car wash and water (or rinseless wash) is all that's needed to keep the wheels pristine.

My order just came in from AutoGeek. I bought G-techniqs Wheel Armor. Before I bought it, I called and asked if one bottle would do all 4 wheels (2 19's and 2 20's). I was told yes because you only use a little bit. Well, the bottle is quite small. At $35 per bottle I hope yes was the right answer.

Wait until the first time you wash them after application. It beads and literally looks like the water sliding off them.
