Detailing products shelf life
Since there is no "expiration or use by date" on the various spray waxes, cleaners, etc. how long before its time to toss them out? I've got some stuff in my garage that's at least 5 years old.

If the temperature only varies between 45 - 85F, I think that most product shelf life would be about 3 years. Extreme cold and heat shorten the life expectancy too.

A products official shelf life is hard to gauge as it often depends upon the environment they are kept and stored within. Products don't like heavy temperature changes. We often suggest a dark, cool area, outside of hot temperatures. Also the bottle should be closed completely and product should be shaken whenever possible. That said, I have products that are 3+ years old and show no issue. I do toss out any product that will not remix, smells different, or fails to work as originally used.
