Default Best way to take dust off a brand new car....

Need a little advice here...

Just got my new 2016 Vette last week. Paint is perfect and I want to keep it that way. Took a short road trip yesterday and now it's got a layer of dust on it along with a few bug splats on the front.

If it were my old Vette, I would have already gotten out the California duster or my microfiber towels and detail spray. I'm hesitating now in order to be sure that this is the best way. I do have a new California duster and some new Microfiber towels.

I'd like to avoid creating swirls on this brand new paint. What's the best way to clean it up and not create the dreaded swirls?

Thanks in advance.

Adam's Waterless Wash, and waffle weave waterless wash towels.

Will remove the bug guts, dust, and if used properly will NOT induce swirls or scratches.

Anything you do that can possibly drag dirt particles across the finish will cause swirls. Maybe not many at first but over time they will show up.

Only true way to avoid this is to prerinse it, wash it with two buckets and multiple wash mitts, then rinse again and leaf blow it and follow up with a QD and MF wipe down.

Less you touch the paint the better.

Yet, with my black cars over the years I do like a California Duster.
So...blow off the dust with an air line or leaf blower.
Calf Dust or wash it.
If washed, dry with air line or leaf blower.
Use detail spray to fine tune the wash.

That's my two cents.

Waterless Wash & Waterless Wash MF towel is the best way to keep dust off of your car safely without any chance of scratching.

I love the Adams Waterless Wash and the new waffle microfiber towels. It cleans and doesn't streak, makes a quick job of wiping down the car.

Touch it the least amount as possible. California duster has been a no no for me.
