Default I dried my car with a shop vac!

So my leaf blower is an attachment for my weed eater. It's hard to maneuver to dry the car. I was talking with a guy who details cars and he told me about using the shop vac. I just took the filter off, emptied any debris, and switched the hose around to the exhaust port. It doesn't work very well for the body, but it did great on the wheels, door handles, and any other cracks and crevices. Happy detailing!

If you want to keep doing it that way, may I suggest you get a dedicated hose just for that. Old trapped dust/dirt in the hose can get on your car.

Yeah, I turned it on and gave it a few wacks to try and expel anything that might be in there. But good idea, just get a dedicated hose.

Here's a tool made by Shop Vac for Autogeek that will help dry all panels and you don't need to share it with the lawn.

You need some kind of nozzle to narrow down the air stream and then it will work on the body of the car

i purchased and tested one last weekend and I loved it! This is one of those devices that will make you wonder why you didn't try it sooner. I'll never go back to traditional drying. I really liked that the air nozzle is made of soft material that won't scratch the car. Great product.

The less you have to rub a finish ... the lower the ability to damage and swirl a finish. I suggest a dedicated blower to all.

This past spring I bought a basic Troy-Bilt leaf blower on sale at Lowes for $25 and I have it hanging inside my garage door and use it as a dedicated blow drier for my Corvette after washing, also to keep my garage and driveway clean...this is ultra convenient and economic. Never dry a car the old fashion way again.
