I've owned it a week now and waxed it yesterday with some McGuires, just to get a little protection. I was surprised with a few minor paint imperfections...not bad, but i've never bought a new car with paint imperfections (a spec of dust painted over). Anyway, this will be the last car I ever buy so i want it kept nice. I'll be bugging people about their cleaning procedures probably.

This is my method I used for my 2016 right from the dealer.
Step 1. Decon whole car with IronX
Step 2. Wash and clay with nano skin
Step 3. Wash again of course using two bucket and grit
Step 4. Light correction with DA. I use Adams
Step 5. Ceramic coat prep polish with DA or hand.
Step 6. Ceramic coating of your choice. I use Pinnacle with great results and then light spray of detail spray when done and cured. If you are going to do ceramic coating you'll need to prep the paint or you're wasting your time. Good luck!!

Congratulations on your new Corvette!

Even new cars right off the transport need a good cleaning. They sit in the holding lots at the factory for weeks sometimes and pick up air borne contaminants which bond to the unprotected paint. I have spent over 15 hours correcting a new Corvette with 12 miles on the clock. Once you have it properly cleaned, corrected and protected it will be much easier to maintain in the future. Always use proper washing techniques to reduce the surface swirls and holograms.

Once you done all the steps properly, seriously consider a coating like Wolfgang Uber Coating or Optimums Gloss-Coat. I am so impressed with the gloss and reflection offered on white paint specifically by these coatings. Just remember that washing, claying, and polishing is equally as important as the final step of coating.
