New Corvette Owner here, what do I need to get?
Hello All,
Pretty excited to have a car that represents my passion for motor sports, especially Corvette Racing. That being said I recently made the switch from 4th Gen Camaro SS to a 2004 ZO6 CE. As I have been told its a little harder to do maintenance because of limitations on clearance and lift points.
So my question is what are some of the things that i should get so I can do my own fluid changes, brakes, and so on?
I have already bought the 2004 GM certified service manual which cost me a leg, but id like to not spend money on unnecessary things. Currently the car is relegated to a smallish garage so space is always a concern, though I have made room recently and can work around it.
Thank You for any replies.

Former Vendor
watch the for sale sections ... lots of Vette friends selling items that you may desire. Best part, the often care for them just like their prized automobile.

Do some research on "no rinse method". You can make ramps for about $20. Jacking pucks.

What do you need?
You need to get a credit card your wife has no access to. .
I was recently at a large car show with owners and their wives. I asked them what did the work cost on their custom seats. $250 they responded. Clearly you could tack another zero on to the true answer. These guys had outfitted their cars with custom interiors, sub enclosures and engine bling all for an incredible bargain. I didn't get past the second price quote to realize that their accessories were approximately the same price as their wife's designer shoes.........LOL.
They may know and their husbands may guess the real cost of those shoes but it is all relative!

haha lucky for me im planning on keeping this one stock for the most part. I know to some the Commemorative Edition is meh, but I figured my love for the Corvette Racing team would override my need to mod the hell out of it.

Congrats on your new ride !
if you don't have one already, a low profile / long reach floor jack is a must IMO
