Default Gloss-It | 1996 Carrerra RS |2 Step Paint Correction | PPF | Evo Quartz Coating Pro9H

Good Afternoon Gloss-It fans, car enthusiasts, and Porsche fans ! Today we are discussing the process of Two-Step Paint Correction on a 1996 Porsche Carrera RS, Level 2 Interior, application of Evo Quartz Coating Pro9H.

This will show the before, during, and after shots. As well as a detailed description of the products used so you can achieve the same results in your paint finish. A new customer found us online, read our reviews, and brought us the vehicle for us to look at. The customer purchased this rare, fast, car, worth a nice chunk of change from Japan and had it shipped to the states. This vehicle has 300hp and is the spiritual successor to the legendary 2.7 RS, and one of the finest evolutions of a particularly great era for the 911, according to www.roadandtrack.com.

Here are some before shots of the 1996 Porsche Carrerra RS that show micro marring and hazing. There are also pictures of the taping and buffing taking place.

First things first we clean the wheels using our Signature Wheel Gel and APC chemicals. We allow the wheel cleaner and all purpose cleaner to do the dirty work for us. It assists in breaking down road grime, and brake dust. We wash the vehicle using our Gloss Shampoo and Wash Wedge. While washing we also use our Mild Clay Bar to remove any sediment and achieve a nice smooth appearance in the clear coat. After completing the clay bar the entire vehicle is rinsed off vehicle including the wheel wells, and wheels then dried with our Ultimate Drying Towels. The vehicle is then moved outside for further inspection in the sunlight to find visible scratches/marring to determine which pad and polish we will us on the imperfections.

First we like to prep the vehicle masking off all the trim/rubber seals so that way later it's not that hard to remove any excess polish that might have got on them. We polished the vehicle using our Evo21 Dual Action Polisher and our Evo Cut 1500 Polish along with the Vinyl/Leather Cleaner and Conditioner along with Gloss-It Teardrop Interior Sponges to clean the majority of all the panels/seats. We then work all the crevices with our Detail Brush Kit.

We finalize the interior by wiping any excess product and apply our Gloss Enhancing Detail Spray on any trim that didn't receive any of our cleaner/conditioner along with cleaning the interior windows. We also go over all the rubber trim at this time with our T.R.V.

The door jambs and trunk/hood jamb are then gone over making sure there is no leftover sediment in the crevices. The final check on the exterior is then done with q-tips to make sure no product residue is left over. The vehicle is then gone over with our Gloss Envy Detail Spray Limited Edition GR6 and Edgeless Microfiber Towels. We then go over the windows a final time and do a final walk in the sun.

This vehicle cleaned up nice and is now protected for up 4 years with our Evo Quartz Pro 9H Coating! The gloss retention is great as it should be with a ceramic coating. This is the best Quartz Coating in the line which will give you the best gloss, durability, clarity, color enhancement, clarity, highest by volume of ceramic coating solids. 9H comes with a 4 year/60K mile warranty!

In our Detail Studio the Paint Protection Film (PPF) is applied to the full hood, fenders, mirror, and bumper.

Enjoy the after shots of this beauty and amazing car!
