exterior window treatment
Hey guys, I have always used RainX after washing my cars. Only recently have I been researching and reading up on the latest products out there since I FINALLY was able to get a vette...'15 Z51.
So, whats better, Jetseal via a DA buffer on the windows or RainX. I want the effect like RainX...
Thanks fellas...

Use a dedicated glass coating ... or a product like Aquapel. Long term protection and it wont produce wiper chatter and they white blurred look (when initially wiped) that waxes and sealants can when placed on glass.

I use Adams glass sealant, it works really well. I like their glass cleaner too.

Aquapel. I hadn't heard of that. Did some research. Watched a few videos. Ordered 12 of them. Plus their window cleaner.
RainX does wear out kinda fast. Looking forward to seeing this stuff work.

If you can, try to have two people apply as possible. One applicator usually can do 1/2 the car when done in unison. I apply, wife uses a paper towel to remove excess and spread evenly. I then go back and buff off with a soft MF towel. If you get a stubborn area, just dampen the towel slightly. You should six months or more of beading. Much clearer looking also.
Oh ... if you feel your window has anything on it already. A product like McKee's Glass Restorer is a great prep product. It will help with waterspots also. You can use it by hand, or machine as desired.

I always use a glass restorer before the coating. If you start with an absolutely clean glass surface the result will be almost perfect depending o the condition of the glass. Glass restorer applied with a DA will remove any surface contaminates and provide a smooth clean surface for the coating.
