Default ...And Then I Looked Under the Hood!

And boy, is it dirty. No caked on mud or grease...lots of orange pollen and dust, mostly.

What is the best and easiest way to clean up under the hood?

TIA

I am not a fan of rushing water and/or pressurized water under hood with modern electronics. I have found that a good APC and several clean damp MC towels work equally well. You can still use brushes as needed to agitate. For sand in corners you can use a paint brush or a small compressed can of air.

Once clean you should consider dressing the engine department. Don't use silicones and those super glossy tire type protectants. Use a good safe water based dressings with a sheen equal to your personal tastes. I find 303 Protectant works well.
