had a Magnetic Red C5 that I used Adam's Americana or Patriot wax on with great results.......... photos in profile album I believe.............. just make sure that the paint finish is corrected and polished before applying any wax for the best results.

You want something as old as a traditional wax ??? Look into a modern ceramic or glass based coating. Durability, looks, and no more heavy buffing .....

Agree on the coatings. However, Pinnacle Black Label 850 Synergy always worked well on my Crystal Red. Excellent clarity and depth without the 'paint under glass' look. The only wax that got a 'stunning' comment from my wife when she walked by it. Paint prep is the key regardless of what you choose.

Here's my '08 CRM; Duragloss coating and quick detailer now and then. As it was said above, preparation is the key.

Remember the greatest wax in the world will only give a shine and brilliance based on the surface. correction of the paint. Do your paint correction first, seal and then wax for protection.
