Cleacoat flaking
I just bought an 02 ZO6 and it is in great shape overall. But there are a couple spots where the cleacoat is flaking off.
What is the best best remedy to stop it from spreading any further. And how do I fix the spots? It's 2-3 spots and none of them are bigger than a quarter.
The car doesnt look like it has it has been repainted at all so not sure why it's flaking like this.

I have seen this several times before to various degrees. Unfortunately there is no real fix other than paint the panel. You may be able to find a very experienced paint shop who could spot paint and blend the affected area. Since the car is a 2002 the paint may have some fade or could have been polished so much or polished incorrectly the clear may be very thin and a repaint may be the only permanent and correct option.

Only "fix" is a repaint.

No real fix, you could try getting the entire car polished out to hopefully keep the rest of the paint in top condition and then apply a coating to it all and hope that will keep it from spreading but that's not a guarantee either....

Well that blows. Guess for right now I just need to make sure it doesn't get worse than it is. And can address it further down the line.
