Has anyone used the water blade.
I bought one of the water blades at Wally World ($20 from the folks that make the California Duster), and I've got to admit that it really cuts down on wash time and works very well. Let me know if any of you out there have tried it and what is your opinion. Zuti

I strongly caution against a Drying Blade. Some people are switching to the Mr. Clean Drying system. Here's a video I did of
"How to Dry Your Corvette with Water"
You want to eliminate as much contact with your paint as possible.
The video isn't exactly dial-up friendly but it's free and well worth the wait.

I love mine. BUT make sure your car is clean. And that the blade is clean.

The least bit of grit on the blade will scratch your clear coat. I know from experience. Wipe the blade after each stroke.

I used a water blade for several years and tried it once on the Vette -- never again on the Vette. Maybe on the daily driver that I'm not so picky about, but never again on the Vette.
I tried the "drying with water" as suggested by the DetailingDude and I'm sold. It took me a little longer, but it was well worth it knowing that I wasn't going to be dragging anything across my paint. I'm sold on drying it with water. Thanks for the tip DetailingDude.

Wow, this thread is over ten years old....lol BTW, I don't use and don't suggest the use of any water blade. I only use an electric leaf blower...

I used it on my M3 and loved it. For the Vette I'm going to try Chadwick's waterless. Had a great talk with the owner yesterday, he seems like a stand up guy who really believes in his product and I've seen great reviews. I really like the idea of completely avoiding water spots etc on my car.
