Bubbles in paint on 1996 C4
Hello folks, I'm just curious, what would cause bubbles to appear underneath the paint?
I've got some bubbles on my targa top near the front black trim, and also I noticed some light bubbles just rearward of the driver's side door. The bubbles look like what runs in a paint would look like where they terminate, but they aren't runs.
I've had the car since it was brand new so I know that it hasn't been repainted.
Any ideas?
Randall

It makes me wonder if there was something left on the fiberglass when the car was painted at the factory.
It's not too noticable unless you look real close. I'll just have to live with it. I'm not going to get the car repainted for a few bubbles(raised areas).

I've had a 92 and now a 91 and they both have that problem. On the 91 it is on the hood right along the front edge. I would imagine it's a C4 problem. Sometimes just sneezing on my car gives it a paint defect

More than likely it was a factory flaw and has been there since you have owned your car. Every so often when I look very closely I notice something on mine. It does make them personel.
