Is anyone using Prolong Wash and Shine?
I have been using this product about three years now and don't understand why it is not more popular. I have only water washed my car maybe two or three times in the past three years! Now my Corvette lives a charmed life -- it is garaged under a dust cover and NEVER sees bad weather. It is very rare that it gets more than slightly dusty, and on those occasions I water wash it. The most incredible thing about this product is the shine! I have used many different waxes and NONE shine as well. I always get many compliments at cruise-ins and people want to know what wax I use. I tell them I don't use wax and they can't believe it! Actually I do use a wax after I water wash it -- Turtle Wax Express. Then I go over it with the Prolong. Now I have no idea how well this silicon based product protects, but as slick as the surface is, I can't imagine how anything could stick to the paint. And anyway my car doesn't need any protection from the elements. Another thing I like about it is that I can use it on the glass too, and it makes cleaning the glass very easy -- bugs and spots wipe right off.
Isn't anyone else using this product??

You're right! I hadn't thought of that!
I do wish I could find someone who knows more about this product. I am concerned because almost no one has used it, and it is a silicon based product and I would like to know for sure that there are no bad long-term effects on the paint.
