Mike

Think you want 24-28 foot. a 20 or 22 foot may not have the load capcity and axle weight you need, even for the Datson plus junk.

Mike,

What are you looking for?

I have a 28' tag built by Timberwolf. I bought it in January 2004. It has some nice add-ons.

I have been thinking about upgrading to a 40' gooseneck, but haven't given it any real serious thought. Let me know if you are interested in mine.

I've been looking thru racingjunk on and off for a couple of weeks...

What I'm looking for is a trailer big enough to hold my V8Datsun Zcar, tire rack, tool box. I'm also wanting to make sure that if/when I buy a C6 or a Viper (Haven't decided which yet) that it's big enough to accomodate that combo as well. My truck is a 3500 Cummins Dodge, so towing won't be an issue... The big problem I'm having right now is the wife has set me on a bit of a budget until we sell the house we're moving out of. So I'm on limited funds... Selling my trailer this weekend for $1750 and I've got another $4K or so to spend as well...

Mike then you want at least a 28 foot trailer. 7000 lbs axles electric brakes on both axles. and tires rated for that load. Think it is D rated tires. Vipers are not light plus any junk that you get.

Mike,

You won't spend $15K on a 28' tag if you buy used.

I bought my trailer brand new for $13K. It was a demo at the PRI show, so it had "alot" of goodies. Used these things go for much less.

Don't skimp on axles, you'll be sorry.

I paid 8k for mine - an 04 Vintage with tons of options. It took awhile to find and I had to travel for it.

Mine is a 24" and has a 7750 load capcity. I bet I am over that too.

Trailer, vette, extra wheels, tools, junk and more junk. All adds up fast

I did put Load Rated D tires on to help some what.

Changing the axles would not be difficult but Doully later this summer then a 2 car GN next year are in the plans.

Well it looks like all my worries are resolved... I'm going tomorrow to buy a 24-28 foot 5000# axle enclosed haulmark... They're running a special for 12 months same as cash with 0% interest... I've got $2000 to put down and I'll finish paying it off when our house sells.

I should have it tomorrow.

Bought a 24Ft. Haulmark trailer w/5200# axles, finished white walls, four 5K# Drings in the floor, two lights, the vent roof, spare tire, four fuel can holder, strap hanger, stoneguard front with crome corners and a tongue lock for $7K out the door. It's a brand new 2006 model, and it's unfortunately white, but will do the trick. It does have the fire escape door on the passenger side, but I opted not to get the driver's side door. I looked at the 28 footers, but I'm not sure I could park one that large at the new place, and backing the 24 footer into my existing house was a chore... Pulls great, and has a LOT of room...
