I actually hadn't seen that for some reason. It's funny that he said it's a better track car than ferrari's and all, but the street is crap. That's because england has two lane highways instead of ten lane highways.

The reason you hadn't seen it before is that it was just shown on the BBC last week. Clarkson's review I thought was pretty good; I wonder how much better it'd be if they'd get rid of those stupid runflats and run some decent street tires.

The Vette would be really wide for the smaller 2-lane roads in the UK, but the better A roads and the 3-4 lane motorways would be great.

Did you see the reaction when they kept talking about the Z06 only costing 60K BP, as opposed to the 150K+ for the Ferraris? Even though they didn't want to, they kept getting drawn back to the Vette.

I really enjoy the show, mostly entertainment, but you sure see some cool wheels!

Have a good one,
Mike

Well the show is part "Laurel and Hardy" and part "Mr Bean" but does give useful info occasionally mixed in with the dross.
The roads in the UK are actually a lot better than here in MI and the motorways (assuming traffic is moving) are great. Good point on the width, that will be an issue scooting through London LOL.
Someone else commented that the driver is not the greatest with this motor ....All the brit shows seem to focus on drifting a car around a track ..as if this was the quick way round, although they did seem to avoid that with this test.

It's a great show and for once the cars get driven hard instead of just talked about. The different characters of the hosts work well also.

Clarkson may come across too strongly for some but then its to get a reaction. All in good fun.

It's better than that Motor Trend crap...they really need to update that lame excuse from 1980. It's real people reviewing cars, not people reading from a scripts talking about stats

Yeah, whenever I turn to Speed and the MT show is on I just make a trip to the bathroom for that half hour.

As far as the drifting goes, yeah, they go for that more than I understand, but when the Stig gets into it that bunk goes out the window.

What did you think of the start from 5th gear to over 160? Woohoo!!!

IMO it's the best car entertainment show on the planet. Dream Car Garage and Sports Car Revolution aren't bad, but don't compare. Everything else is just a dudded up infomercial.

Have a good one,
Mike

You have to download the eipsodes via what's called a bit torrent. First, go to www.bittorrent.com and download the bit torrent application. Then go to www.finalgear.com/topgear and run the torrent for episode [08x02].

The download will take a while, but the torrent runs in the background and should finish up within a day or so.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike
