Default C6 Autox Afermarket Goodies

The C6 has been out for over 1 1/2 years now and probably well in excess of 50,000 cars have been sold. How much longer before we get our aftermarket autox goodies like:

1. Sway bars (Hotchkis says ETA not known at this time)
2. Various bushings like the front lower control arms (Energy Suspension says the same)
3. Shocks (not coilovers)
4. Tires for 19" x 10" rears for the SS guys (Hoosier replies ditto)
5. .......

Its really not been that long since the C6 came out. When you look around, there still are not that many C6s on the road. Another factor may be complacency. I think many of these aftermarket companies think C6s are not much different from the C5s. E.g. - shocks. Until you see the more C6s at divisional events and winning at nationals, there won't be a whole lot more parts. Maybe the Z06 will spark some interest by the manufacturers. In Houston, I am the only C6 that shows up regularly.

It's going to be hard for the C6 to show up and be competitive at regional and national competitions without, oh, tires, swaybars, shocks, etc.

If they'd atleast make enough toys to run in SS maybe somebody could show something... I'm moslty thinking of tires here, of course...

It took several years before parts started showing up for the C5s.

Update:

Anthony @ LG Motorsports says he has a full set of graphite impregnated bushings now for the C6 Z51.

Don't know where you guys have been, VBP has had this stuff (bushings & springs) for quite sometime................I know ADDCO makes bars too. There are parts and pieces available for these cars, even C6 Z06's.

ADDCO's website lists only a front sway bar (no rear listed) for the C6 and it's the same diameter as the stock Z51 bar.

Vette Brakes makes the bushings that LGM offers & VBP is sending me a catalogue because it has some C6 items not listed on the website.

Maybe these companies don't do good enough advertising of what they actually have.................you ought to inquire by calling. I dont have any problems setting these things up to race ( except for cooling fan temp programming ) suspension stuff is all there.

I think you're right ... I just called ADDCO and they have a couple of sway bar sets, solid or tubular. They just don't keep the website updated. Too bad because so many people shop with their fingers.

BTW, I ran a bypass switch to the fan and I can control it at the flick of a switch. The only disadvantage is that it runs at full speed when I turn it on.
