What's the best way to mount a camera in a vert?

You can get one from r-d racing here but I thought it was rather expensive so I had a friend make one up from some steel. Total cost: $30 and 2 hours of time. It bolts to the seat belt bolts on the sides of the car and the camera mount is attached to it and sits in front of the waterfall.

I painted my custom made one black with some hammerhead spray paint to reduce wear and it performs perfectly.
