My little ice race car. Which is a 84 crx with a welded diff and about 230 horsepower. No swaybars in the car so I guess that was my problem. It turns in great on the ice-dirt but not on the road.

I've seen cars flip at autocrosses twice. Once was a guy in a POS hatchback with stock suspension with R-compounds, and another was a mitsubishi lancer OZ edition (FWD) on street tires. Both times it was a case of the inexperienced drivers getting the car to pendulum back and forth a few times, each time building up more and more roll until oops... over it goes.
See that first pic Luke posted? the guy is still steering in. Of course it will go over from there. If he'd countersteered sufficiently he could have pulled it back at that point. If you ever get your car that out of shape, give up the run - it's better to be off course than upsidedown!

It is hard to tell from the photo, but I wondered if he
kept fighting it because of a perception that he had
no run-off room for counter-steering?
Still, soft targets are always preferred to a roll.
