Default brake rotors

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Raybestos "Red Label" rotors and the standard ones? They have the same part number, e.g. 56700, but the red label's have a "R" postfix and are $4 cheaper. I'm seeing them at rockauto.

Thanks!

I just got Red Label rotors for a Grand Am and they were marked made in China on the box.

I got $16 rotors for Z06 last time and they came from McHenry, IL made in Canada.

thanks...I've gotten the others ($21 vs. $16) and they were made in Canada. i guess "red label" must mean communist rotors.

Wherever they were made, they seem to be holding up OK. I ran them at Autobahn on a 34 degree day, Milwaukee Mile and last weekend at Blackhawk & they are crack free... for now.
