Default Is there a Detroit area shop that can corner balance?

Does anyone know of a Detroit area shop that can do a corner balance? We added a new set of coil overs to a buddy's car and need to align and corner weight it.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

That's where I started, but Rick was gone for the day (and of course tomorrow's a holiday). Richard is going to ask him tonight, but I was looking for a back up plan in case Rick doesn't have time this week. We have Mid-Ohio on Friday.

Thanks for the info!

They did my 'vette a year or so ago...

Are you headed to M-O this weekend by any chance?

There is a place in Toledo...I have to check my email at work to get the address.

Its something like Bob's Body shop but a few guys at work use them and they come highly recommended.

However they are $400-500 for the job.

Nice. I'll only be there friday (I'm standing in a wedding all weekend ), and even though it was promised I doubt my 'vette will be done. Looks like the M3 for me this week.

Everything was full so we got stuck in HPDE3. That will teach me to register late. But it's a little safer for the street car, I guess.

If you come up with the name, let me know. We may need them.

Thanks!

Sorry I just looked at my work email and my archive mail but I must have deleted it.

I'll call the guy tommorow, I believe he runs in T2 and uses this shop.

Do you just need to corner weigh or do you also need to redo your alignment??

I don't have time to do alignments but can set up the scales for you to corner weigh..

The car was aligned today, he just needs a balance. Where's your shop? Plymouth?

It not a shop, but we have scales and elevated ramp set up for corvettes. We level the scales and then drive the car up on the scales.

PM me if you need it done. I will have open time on Friday and it is in Plymouth.

ATI no longer does that type of work. I wanted to have my Mustang corner-weighted there earlier this spring, but no luck. Pretty much all I've found are people who do it out of their garage or a private shop. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it may even be better . . .

I'd try them again I think you are mistaken. PM ATI Performance engineering on this forum, Bob will respond.

ATI still does work like corner balancing and race alignments (and maintains a Corvette performance online parts store, including unique parts devloped for our own race cars).

We stopped doing general auto repair a while back because we did not have the resources or time to handle that kind of work, and maintain our own racing efforts. Currently customer work is done by appointment. Our expertise is Corvettes, but we can do other cars.

Please feel free to PM me, or contact Mike Akerly at 248-848-9200.

Thank you,
