Default How are the NAPA C5 Pads?

How are the Raybesto C5 pads they sell at NAPA for the street?

As my HPDE costs continue to build I'm looking for a cheap, no nonsense street pad. I just bought new rotors, and plan on buying 6 more, a replacement set for the rear, and 4 spare rotors to take to the track, plus the spring, and I'm sure now I'll need to do some additional cooling and protecting of the boots on the ball joints, can't wait to see what kind of condition my dust boots are in....the fun part of racing

So to offset I just want something inexpensive, reliable, etc...I had run Z06's but after tapering them and the mountains of dust they produce, not to mention price I'll skip them this time around.

I have H's for the front at the track and J's for the rear but need to replace all 4 of my Z06 pads that I currently have.

Napa has sets for anywhere from $90 for all 4 corners to $150 for all 4.

Any thoughts?

Something better in that price range?

A little web searching shows Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads for $120 ... brakes are brakes, street or track, I still want to stop.

Thank you sir...were you talking front and rear?

I found front/rear for about $155 which is near where I was looking.

If I can find front/rear for the $130 that would be even better.

That's the first place google found with "performance friction corvette carbon metallic". A little digging shows VBandP has them for $70 front, $60 rear, too:

I run Wilwood Q pads on the street. Stopping power seems good and they do not dust much. I had been running E pads but they dusted so much the Grey wheels looked totally black within 10 miles.

I'm running the Es too, but you're right about the dust. Wilwood has a new pad out which is suposed to match the performance of the Es without as much dust. I may try these out next.
