Z06 Springs on a Coupe Question
Looking for input. I've installed Z06 shocks and sways on my 2001 coupe. I run HPDE at Hallett in Oklahoma. Nice improvement to the cars handling.
Do you think it's worth the effort to go the extra yard and intall Z06 springs?
Would it really help improve my lap times or driveability?
How would it change the handling?
Thanks.
Rick

It will stiffen you car up a bit. The front ZO6 spring is the same as the Z51 spring.
Lap times is more of skill then equipment, but it will flatten the car some in the corners so better handling, YES

I have a 2000 coupe with the Z06 springs, shocks and swaybars and it is a sweet setup. Handles great on track and not super stiff that you cannot drive it on the street.
Proper alignment and laps, laps, laps will make the car good at the track.

Yes it is worth it. Highly recommend it.
I did swaybars, shocks then springs in that order. Springs changed the car significantly, and for the better.
Biggest thing I noticed was the rotation differences. The car seemed much more "pointable" and seemed to actually "rotate" around the driver instead of kind of just vaguely changing direction.
I recommend them.
That said, if I had to do it all over again I'd have gone T1 from the start. Z06 setup is nice, but with track tires there's still alot of roll and dive etc. I want more, and piecemeal upgrades cost more in the longrun.
