Default LS6 or LS7 clutch and PP

Is there a way to tell an LS6 clutch and pressure plate from the new LS7

there is but I forgot if you don't get an answer here try LS1.com site. Many guys there have done the swap or the C5 tech section here.

After having installed both the LS6 and LS7 clutch in my car, I can tell. The LS7 has more clutch contact area compared to the LS6, and the flywheel is much different. The fingers on the pressure plate are different.

Here's a picture of my LS6 clutch.

Thanks Teddy, I feel better, the one I have is the LS7 , with the LS2 type flywheel, I called LUK yesterday and they couldn't help with the numbers on the clutch.
Two more questions, how long was the install and what are your feelings about the LS7 clutch in comparasion to the 6

The installs were on my Z28. I haven't done one on a C5 yet. The clutch feels much softer but grabs stronger than the LS6 design.

I did the swap on my car. I contacted Fred Beans for the parts. I think it was in the $600 range for the flywheel, clutch, PP, and throwout bearing.
