Best series to race a Z06 ?
I'm wondering where you get the most bang for your buck as far as TV time
SCCA or Speedvision or Grand AM ?
I'd love to race a C6 Z06 thats not too far from stock so I suppose Trans Am & ALMS are out

Car is way over powered for Grand-AM. Trans am is dead, ALMS is for the Factory Corvettes. FIA-GT3 in europe
SpeedWorld GT corvettes use the LS2 engine, about 500 HP with a 40% thottle body restrictor. Speed World GT corvettes are custom tube frame cars that started from a stock C5 or C6 frame. LG will sell one for $180,000 or there abouts.
SpeedWorld GT = $150,000 / plus car ( $180,000 )plus transporter(s) $250,000 ~$ 1/2 mill per year.
Grand Am - same
The SCCA is doing some Class restructuring and it looks like the C6ZO6 will be in the new T1 class, regionally in 2007 and nationally in 2008.
Current T1 racers ( next years T2) runs about $3 to $5,000 per race. So $25-$50,000 / year depending on the number of races you run.
Preping a current T1 corvettes, C5ZO6 or C6Z51 to get ready to race runs appox. $25,000.
Preping a new Z to race in SCCA T1 ( 2007 and beyond) my guess still around $25,000 to prepar the car. and $3 to $5,000 per race.

and there are plenty of Corvettes for you to race against. Check out the next date at Homestead Speedway on August 12th. The best bang for the buck without TV coverage.

For LG to rent you a car to race in SWC is about $30,000 per race and less if you buy the car from him possibly 25,000. Call him and he will let you know.
T-1 is the cheapest place to race and get some TV exposure but is only the runoffs I believe at the end of the year.
