Replacement Steering Racks?
My Power Steering rack is leaking on the driver side. I did a search and didn't find anything recently, but I am certain this issue is common for those who track their cars. Any recommendations? I have heard of "Turn One" as a company that supplies better pumps, but are there any better racks? I assume new vs. rebuilt?

If it's the pump, then you can get a rebuild. If it's the rack itself, you can only get a rebuilt one now...if I understood all the mechanics and parts managers correctly. They aren't making new ones apparently. I've replaced 2 racks and 3 pumps over the past 2 years and they are a pain.
Don't buy a rebuilt pump though - buy a new one. The rebuilt ones don't hold up!!! So far, my rebuilt rack is holding up OK. knock, knock

Are there any third party "road racing" racks for the C5? Like from VB&P or anyone?

I tired the BAR fluid at PeP boys. No research, just a guess and it appears to help. Defintely not a fix, but hopefully slows it down until I can find a replacement - after my next track day of course!

I think I put a link in the C5 General Sticky about a manufacturer that makes built steering pumps for the C4 or LT1 cars. It might be worth giving them a call to find out if they have something for the LSx/C5 cars. I don't believe they modified the rack itself, but it's supposed to run at lower pressures, and be built with hoses to handle higher than stock pressure "just in case".
