C6 guys, I have to install a fire extinguisher, can I....?
Install it onto the cross frame section that divides the passenger compartment from the hatch area?
Before I start drilling holes and putting screws in I want to know if that bar has anything in it.....anyone know?

The gas line between the two tanks runs just beneath the crossmember. The crossmember is nothing but a couple of pieces of stamped steel welded together so is not very substantial.
