Frist Time Autocrossing Need Help
I have alot of drag racing under my belt, however I am going autocrossing for the first time tomorrow. What is the best pressure to run in the fronts and rears? Also I have a 95 DRM modified vette what are the normal classes.
Thanks you in advance for your help

Lot's of good info here:

Just on normal street tires, I'd recommend 35lbs all the way around, and monitor them after every run to keep them there. That way you'll eliminate at least 1 variable. Now there's only 4867 more to worry about.

Take your time to learn to drive autoX....All that horespower is NOT going to be your friend for a while.Hit the marks and try to keep the tires hooked up.If you are spinning or sliding you are going backwards.Don't ask me how I know. You're probably looking at SM2 in SCCA or 3E in NCCC competition.A loud car is good so people can't hear you cuss

Just like I told my son "Don't worry about where you finish, just worry about getting better each lap."
You'll probably be beat by some middle aged geezer in a Honda Civic hatchback. Also, as mentioned above, check the FAQ at the top of the forum page.
Oh, and did I mention not to worry about where you finish? And, if you *do* post a decent finish for whatever reason, *assume* it's a fluke (which it probably is) and assume you won't do as well next time.
One last thing: Have a ball! No one is out there to make money, so enjoy it!
I've been autocrossing now for about 4 years, and have just tried drag racing at a 1/8th mile strip. It's fun, but nothing like autox. You'll be astonished at what your car can do!
Let us know how it goes, and have a good one,
Mike
