Default 26 and 27 Aug at CMP?

Who all here is going to make it to the Turnone event at CMP on 26 & 27 Aug?

It looks like both cars are track capable so we will have two at the track for the weekend. I will make sure Jake gets the slower one....

It will be 7 weeks without an event by then - my wife thinks it is good for me to show some restraint - but I am making up for it in the fall with 13 event or so

For the newbies in this genre, a link would be nice.

I might go, but it was so damn hot when I went there with NASA that I'm kind of hesitant. That's why I'm not doing the NASA event at Road Atlanta!

Yep, it was toasty.

It might not be as hot now. Supposedly the heat wave has broken, if you call 90's instead of 100's a break.

I know the feeling - after VIR I was ready for some cooler weather! I cannot make Rd ATL due to work but with the heat and the high turnout I am not real sure it will be that bad to miss....

I am hoping for a little cooler weather at CMP myself - good news is I have a fan in my trailer and we have even upgraded it with a DVD player so we can watch DVDs of BPKM ripping up the track long after the dust has settled.....

http://www.turnonemotorsports.com/ is the link I have for Turnone also.....

I apologize, I am actually hoping it is going to be a scorcher. In addition to the cars my sons will be driving we will be bringing two of the race cars. We have been fighting overheating problems all year and we think we finally have them licked. We just need some warm weather to prove it out. That weekend is the last test opportunity before heading out to Miller Motorsports for the next Grand Am race. It will definately be hot there.

Look forward to seeing everyone there. If the trailer fans don't hold up come on over to our trailer. The air conditioners will be working on overtime.

Perfect test conditions then.

If it can survive the heat there.

Utah will be hot, can be dry and will have a high density altitude...not the best for HP!

Look forward to seeing the swarm of Rx8s...and your AC trailer!

Well we are taking both the 99 FRC and 02 ZO6 plus all the tires that will hold air. Jake put a fresh set of front XP8 Carbotechs (the old ones were tapered a lot!) on Wednesday evening on the ZO6. I drove it to work for a few days to season up the rotors a bit. Jake is trying to convince me to run the FRC and let him take the ZO6 with the fresh Hoosiers and Carbotechs - he was even explaining to his mother how that would be "safer".

I have Michael as student

We are going to try to make tech tonight by 8 PM but really depends on traffic in Columbia and construction on I20 in GA.

See you guys there - it is a hot and humid afternoon to load the truck and trailer!
