Stopped in Fort Stockton, Texas in April 2005... Was on my way home to Calif. from the museum in my "new" C-6 Vert.. Had an oil change there and watched trailered car after car arrive for the "race"...Was told that in most years one of the "old" muscle cars from the late 60's, early 70's "wins" the event.... Looked like a lot of dedicated "speed nuts" have a lot of fun in the Texas flatlands in April.... This is one more thing to do in the near future... Maybe April of '07....!!!

Um, that's because there is a guy named "RJ Gottlieb" who drives an 800HP NASCAR stocker which has a 69 Z28 body on it....which goes an ACTUAL 225mph.
