C4 A4 simple no cost suspension set ups prior to autocross?
Hawaii is having a trial event here to have fun, but more importantly get a place to actually run our cars as our track closed early this year.
My 93 Vette A4 has a basic soft spring, Heavy Duty Bilsteins, ZO7 sway bars, and 275 front and 315 rear BFG KD( but they are old and hard). I also have ST Frame, Camber Bar.
Is there any simple no cost tricks to ensure a good competetive time without killing the bank, or really trashing the tires.
Thanks, Steve

Draw on the Aloha Spirit. With it being a trial event for fun and with
the constraints you mentioned, my vote is that you go out, focus on
having a good time and worry about competing harder in the future.
Recognizing that this might not be a wholly satisfying answer,
I'd suggest an alignment appropriate to the layout for the event
- fast & loose, slow and tight or ?. Bleeding the brakes will
improve pedal feel - Valvoline SynPower is well regarded. If the
brakes need attention, EBC Greenstuff or Hawk HPS pads and
NAPA rotors along with proper bedding before the event will address
the issue.
Make sure the tank is 3/4+ full to avoid fuel starvation in turns.

You want to get as much camber in the front as you can, at least for the the autocross. Pull all the shims out, set 1/2in of toe out, this helps it turn in.
What did you run 11's on? Drag radials, they're OK for autocrossing. Wrinkle walls aren't.

Well, I can do the shims thing . I ran 11's on our slick track with ET STreets (not radials). Best 60' was 1.7's with 3.75 gears and 2800rpm stall.
I have C5 brakes and hawk pads. The only thing bad on here is the tires, just rock hard after 5 years.
The brake fluid is Valvoline synthetic, and they were recently bled afterinstalling DRM Bias spring. My rotors are GM, with ZO6 red calipers.
And I will fill her up too.
Thanks guys, Steve
