Default Went Autocrossing w My Son & Grnadson

Finally have some way to post videos so thought I would give this a try: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnDY6haqkZk

It was a nice day and only a couple of cones on the course so speeds were good and we had a lot of fun. Especially when my grandson started running the CamCorder and started going around the paddock area acting like a reporter.

Looks like a fun day was had by all. Way to go on getting the youngsters interested ! A similar ride a long time ago got me hooked on Vettes and this hobby.

What kind of facility/venue was that? It almost looked like a dedicated a/x park. Very interesting.

It is a Go Kart Track. The track is a 4/10 mile long, complete with straightaways, left and right hand 90 degree turns and a hairpin. Its located in Lafayette, NY about 15 minutes drive south of Syracuse. We are planning on having some more events there on October 14th and 15th. We will have 4 NCCC sanctioned autocrosses there each day. Minimum 2 runs per sanctioned event with 3 possible depending on the number of people that show up. Come on down and see what it's like with minimal cones. When we run the course clockwise we set some cones up before the final corner coming to the timing tower just to slow cars down since there are some hazards coming out of the corner. When we run CCW there are no cones except to mark the start and finish lines and the timing equipment. Speeds at the end of the longest straight are in the range of 63/64 on the HUD.

Will have flyers available soon.
