Upcoming MI Region NCCC Autocrosses
September 3
Six low speed events at the Jackson Speedway go-kart track. Fun mini-road course where most cars will be in second gear unless your last name is Meesseman. The track is smooth concrete, there are tire barriers but no really hard obstacles (if I remember correctly). There will be a go-cart run off after the autocrosses are complete. Very fun event.

September 23-24
14 low speed events at the Great Lakes Tech Center in Flint. Good size parking lot, surface is older sealed asphalt. I don't have a flyer available online yet, but a link should be ready soon. Cost is $100 for the weekend if you preregister.
Hope to see some Forum members there!

There are two CCM champ events left (Sept 10 and Oct 22), and two (well three really, this weekend) Detroit Region SCCA events (Sept 17 and Oct 8). Those will certainly be the better of the DCSCC events although the SCCA events are not champ series events. These should help fill your schedule too.

I run a silver Z06 with roll bar in AMT, car number 171. I tend not to be too competative at the CCM event in Hamtramic. I think it is the low grip surface (at least it seems low grip to me).
I mostly lurk around here.
I really should branch out and do some SCCA events. I'll have to run in ASP or SM2 and since there won't be a street tire class, I won't be competative with KD's. I can still have fun though!!!

Track
This is the cart track for Sept 3. Last year, a run started on the (left in the picture) road interconnecting the oval and road course, you would make two laps on the road course, and on the second lap transition onto the oval on the right side connecting road, and follow the banking around to the left and into the finish gate on the back straight. It was a blast.
