Default sliders and rails.......

I just bought my Sparco EVO from a board member on here. Where can I buy the sliders and rails to mount these in my 02 Z-06?? Are there some better than others?? Thanks for your help.

Sparco's make a slider that will work, but the problem is that its not made for our car, the slider track grinds on the inside of the seatbelt return, but it does work.
The other option is to run a hardbar seat mount that will fit perfect, and lower the overall height "which is good IMO", but you loose the ability to move the seat front to back.
Hope this helps.

speedware motorsports makes a base and sidemounts and you can add in Momo sliders. It's a little less than $300 per seat.

Thanks!
The issue with sliders are they cost real estate either in width or height, both are in short supply in a Corvette. Also they all will have some slop one way or another. Ours are very adjustable, but in a bolt in way and include the CNC machined adapters that are required in C6's and C6's due to the short studs that sit in a "crater" in the floor. Our rails are race proven and were used in the Phoenix prepared C5 that was driven by John Heinricy to last years' T1 National Champoinship.
Available for C4, C5, C6, and C6Z, $300 plus shipping.

Excuse me please, but if I am reading this correctly, when I buy my new racing seat(s) for $500-$1000, I will also need a $300 piece of mounting hardware for each (both?)?

Maybe you could take some camera phone pictures of your product and get on a yahoo or myspace website or something? Sorry for being rude, but I didn't find your webpage to be of any help.

You are correct, on both counts. You need some mounting methodology, and my site is being worked on, sorry.

After using some modified stock slider seat rails for several years and being happy with them (I thought), I called Gary and he sent me his new, light solid mounting system. There's just no comparison. Nothing moves - rock solid and I am able to sit about 1 to 2 inches lower than before (lower Center of Gravity is good). It also saved me about 6 lbs so that was a benefit too.

To go fast, improve the contact patches first. Anything that touches something else, improve it and you'll go faster - Tires, Brakes, rotors, seat, harness, MOUNTS, gloves, shoes, suit, etc.

Bottom line - It's well worth the money!!! I'm the king of the budget racers and this is "cheap speed" man!!

I have a Corbeau FX1 Pro and used the Corbeau double locking slider. It works fine and makes the seat adjustable. It does sit a little high. But there is no problem with the factory seat belt connection. The seat is offset on the slider enough to stop it from grinding on the console. So I can have my factory 3-point and my 6-point installed together. Since I drive my car to the track I need the factory belts hooked up. The double locking slider was about $120 per side. They also have a universal side mount bracket for about $100. It appears Sparco does the same thing.

I thought ATI Performance Engineering made adapters to mount Sparco seats to the stock rails. I can't find them on their web site though. It might be worth a call.

Hardbar is a supporting vendor of this forum (I think) and Gary's number is: 603.682.8073 or 488.5573.

Phoenix Performance uses his stuff exclusively so you know it's good.

Cheers,
Gary
