Default FS: '91 Spec Miata (I know it's not a Corvette, but...)

Hey guys, before you jump me, I just wanted to say that if this thread is in the wrong place, mods please move it!

I've just lost interest in racing this Miata that I picked up in the spring, and would like to move it along, and put a Corvette in the garage instead. I've been racing dad's Corvettes for a few years now, and have much more fun in them than the Miata!

For Sale: 1991 Spec Miata race car (RACE WINNER!)
Turn-key package with a lot of extras... (motor, tranny, wheels, etc...)

$10,000 OBO!!! I can deliver!!!

Accepting reasonable trades... (Other race cars, CORVETTES etc...)

I'm really wanting a ZR-1 right now, I'd be willing to throw in a little cash if necessary!

(The wheels pictured are my ugly wheels, I corded a set of tires on my Kazeras, there are pics of the car with the Kazeras in the link below the pics)

I bought the car used from Miami in November of 2005. Since then, I've worked on the car to make it better than it was, and it is still not perfect. The body has seen better days, and a few fenders have some dents.

It has a lot of new parts on it, such as oil pump, timing belt, water pump, plugs, ball joints, belts, steering wheel, etc.

I used this car for my driver's school in March, and have decided to try to go to a different class, or just get into a car I can drive on the street. Ready to sell!

located in Central Iowa. Willing to deliver!

LOL, memories of making the drive to Miami and back in three days...

Yeah, I would be willing to head back to Florida to deliver the car again, I was just in Sebring for Convention, let me look up how much we spent on gas, and I'll get back to you.

Are you going to the race this weekend? I'll be taking my SRF to my first race.

srf? what's that? I was 111 sm, black with gray hood/roof/trunk.

I didn't see this till just now, I was out there testing friday, did 1 dry session and 1 wet. I'm still figuring out how to drive this thing. I'm getting the hang of it, just don't know how to manage traffic.

that enduro was a heck of a first race for me--if you ran it I hope you came out ok. what a mess!!! I didn't even bother wiht my second race sunday, they called it after 2 pace laps so I'm glad I didn't go out.

Spec Racer Ford. No SRF's in the enduro.

I had an interesting weekend for my first race. The car died on the pace lap for the first race. For the 2nd race we were the first cars out after the big rain. 6"+ of water at the apex of 13. We where all at grid when it began to pour. They sent us back to the paddock to put on rains. I almost gave up at that point. My wife and an FSCCA driver next to me convinced me to go.

There's another race there in November. There should be alot more cars for that one.
