Default Looking for another FRC

OK - I have a serious problem but I am looking for another 99-00 FRC or possibly 01 ZO6. A red one would like nice next to the white FRC and blue ZO6 cars but color does not really matter. Looking for a well cared for high mile car....

This way Jake, Josh and I can all run the track at the same time or maybe we will have at least one track ready for a track day....

Usually it means you're immediately going into serious engine mods!

Have a great labor day!

He sucked water into it - that is a bad thing. Water is incompressible - tends to bend stuff in the motor....Now how that happened is important!

I know what it means in Waverunners since they're in the water all the time, but how in the world do you get water in a Vette engine? Did School Bus Nagin use it as an escape vehicle from New Orleans during Katrina?

Vortex intake and a really large puddle maybe? A buddy of mine - now a Catholic priest - sucked water into his C4 at Cannon AFB, NM and destroyed the engine - no mean feat there to find enough water - when driving through a "puddle".

Cold-Air... bottom breather intakes... Some haltech's, Vortex's etc.

can suck water into the engine when you plow thru a deep puddle of water.

Holy Chit!

I'd either change inakes or avoid puddles.

He has a Vortex, so he was driving in some pretty deep water.

Means he drove though a deep puddle when any normal guy would not take a vette out in the rain.

Not real high mileage on our car, but it's been a great track car for us. I have a '99 FRC for sale, with a set of new Hoosiers, only one day of use on them, mounted on Magnesium wheels.

The whole package I'll let go for $21,500 and I can deliver.

Waxers maybe, but not most of the peeps in the A&R section.

Driving in the rain is just more car handling experience.

Not trying to steal the thread, but I have a 99FRC with 63,000 miles. I was thinking that this was probably to many miles on the car to do many track days. What do you guys think?

Larry

No way! Not if the engine is in good shape.

No way - my 99FRC has 125,000 miles on it and runs the track hard! I had to put a new clutch, etc in it but otherwise it has been consumables...

My 94 Z28 had over 200,000 miles on it (I did upgrade the suspension on it)

Get that car out there and ride.....or sell it to me real cheap
