c6z race wheel transport -- inside?
Does anyone know if the stock-sized C6Z wheels/tires fit inside the car?
In the C5Z, they did. This took some careful arrangement, with the fronts slightly offset underneath the trunk lid, one rear behind the passenger seat on the lip of the deck, and the other rear in the passenger seat. Tools and jack fit underneath, in the center rear well or alternately in the passenger foot well.
It wasn't pretty, but it worked.
I'd always assumed that this wouldn't work with the C6Z's larger and wider tires. However, a user in the C6 Z06 forum claimed he'd found an arrangement to make everything fit. When asked how, or to post photos, didn't respond.
Thought I'd try here, where there are users who also might be autocrossing/roadracing and not necessarily have a trailer or separate transport for race rubber.
