Default Auto-X results in new C6Z

Mods on my car, basic ASP setup:

*Approx 480 RWHP+
*Alignment (not corner-weighted)
*'New' Hoosier S04s on CCWs

It was actually more of a Solo I-type course (on a small road course w/ some cones added).

116 cars total entered--2nd overall...

What beat it? An SM2-prepped C5 Vette w/ an auto beat it by .5

I had brand-new closeout, left over S04 Hoosiers. My 1st 2 runs were ALL over the place (went lawn-mowing a bit on my 2nd run). This is my 1st time on Hoosiers, as I've always run Kuhmos. Why are the Hoosiers so slick @ first?

We only had 3 competition runs, so I wasn't able to catch the C5. It did end up w/ FTD on a fun-run (5th total), and last run (doesn't it always happen that way ) as the tires finally came in.

Impressions? The rags say the car is tail-happy--they're right...
I run w/ all electronic aids off. The car is a handful, as its prone to throttle-on oversteer (and I was easing the power in).
Once this condition is corrected (dampers?), the car will MONSTROUS.
