Default Helped DoingOK install a Brey Krause setup in his C6 Z06 yesterday... great stuff.

Car belongs to my buddy Rich (DoingOK). He just got it back w/ a Halltech filter, American Racing 1 7/8ths headers w/ black thermal tech coating (like mine) and a Corsa catback... it sounds wicked.

My garage has been a freakin' hobby shop of late, for today 1 brey-krause harness bar install and lap belt mount kit install.

Pull the seats first... on a new Z this is more involved as there's air bag plugs, and seat heater plugs to go with the normal power plugs (driver's only in the Z). Other than the plugs the procedure is the same as a C5

My buddy Travis came over for support and beer in his Anniversary SS, what a sweet car, you should see under the hood (no pics sorry)

On the C6 you have to remove the top hoop trim and both sail panels, not too hard but there's push pins that the instructions simply say "remove" however... they are not removable! You must destroy them and get new ones. Then you unbolt the top seat belt bolt w/ a t-47 torx and isntal the amazingly beefy BK mount on each side (the grey metal thing w/ 2 studs)

Rich trying to figure out what he'll be for Halloween

Next some drilling!!! Take the sail panes, use the supplied template on the back and lay down 2 layers of tape to stop splintering. Then drill 2 pilot holes, then take a 7/8ths hole sall and go at it.

In stalled... we won't seak of the evil breaking GM clips.

Bar test fit

My buddy Scotty came over in his '01 Z... it has a very cool hood.

One money shot of my baby

While the seats were out we instaled the BK lap belt mount braces.

All done!

What a great piece, you still retain full seat travel, it's super super super strong, and it looks oem. Just wish they'd sent replacement push pins.

We then took all these hotrods over to the local car show and had a blast... C6 Z06's w/ 490 rwhp are indeed faster than C5 Z06's w 390 rwhp... I proved that today

Looks like the C6 harness bar doesn't have the legs that go down to the floor.

Nope no legs... the brace you install behind the upper seat belt bolt is amazingly beefy. Rich thought it was pricey (it is) but when we saw what all goes into the bracing etc we were very impressed.

I was looking at the brey krause for my c6, but I went with the shark bar this time...the shark bar comes with predrilled sail panels PLUS I needed to buy the lap belt mounting bar that vetteworks makes...looks like a great piece

Nah... everyone behaves and doesn't do stupid stuff in the neighborhood. The neighboor to the right was a fighter pilot so he loved to come over and shoot the **** about fast stuff. They recently moved to Texas and the new couple is an undercover cop (female) and a firefighter... they seem very cool.

This is a military area so there's plenty of loud choppers roaring around the place.

If you ever find yourself in trouble with the police up there in VB, let me know, I've got connections in the Sheriff's dept.

Cop: Son, do you know how fast you were going?

Cobra4B: Sorry about that, I wasn't paying attention-it won't happen again, can you cut me a break?

Cop: Sorry-gonna have to write you a piece of payin paper

Cobra4B: Well, I'm friends with the Falcon, you know, the mayor of BPK?

Cop: Get out of the car-hands behind your head!
