Default BeaveRun this weekend?

Anyone else headed to the Beav for the SCCA race this weekend? We'll be there doing T1 in the Z. This might be the first time I'll be at the Beav when it doesn't rain, snow or both.

It was good to meet you in person.

The weather certainly was not an issue this weekend! Absolutely beautiful.

Dave is really doing well behind the wheel. See you at The Glen?

Great run by Dave in the video. Anybody else wondering how that 350Z stayed in the mix so long?

GT car, not a real 350Z.
You could hear his quick change from the corner station!

That makes more sense. I was wondering if it was an ITE car but then figured this was a National event so it couldn't be...

The 350Z is a T2 car...SCCA has restricted my Viper so much that I cannot pass T2 cars very well...

(that's my story and I am sticking with it! )

As others have said and I have said in person, congrats Dave on the win. It was another rough weekend for me, chasing everyone around from the back is not what I want to do. Not real happy with my qual position or finish but at least I can take something away from this weekend, I continue my trend of being faster at every single track this season than last. I was 1.5 seconds faster at Beave this year than last. Gotta look at the bright side I guess......

Dave Congrats. It was nice to meet both you and Joe from Daves camp in exile at the end of the track.

Good luck to you both as well as the other Vette's in the next events.

Doggone, Joe, that's gotta be tough learning the track and racing all on the same weekend. Kind like building a fort and fighting the Indians at the same time.

I've seen you drive, so I know it won't be long until you're on the top step of the podium.

Joe,

All of us "in the know" know that you are fighting with one hand tied behind your back.

That old dog-tired LS6, while perfectly good mechanically, just ain't making the HP numbers you need to run at the front. Plus those nearly-corded tires of yours are holding you back as well.

My brother and I think you are leaving a good second per lap on the table just in mechanical handicaps; plus your driving will become more aggressive when you start feeling more confident with your equipment.

Now I know you don't like to make excuses, but the facts are the facts. Once you "pay your dues" and get the seat time, you can add the new crate motor and start buying sticker tires and you will be flat amazed at your performance. In due time my friend, in due time.

My guestimate is the "light bulb" will flash on sometime near the end of this season, just before the Run Offs.

Your 2008 season will be a blast for you, trust me. Just keep choppin' wood, you're getting there!

Those of us "in the know", don't have Renegade haulers, a new set of tires for every session, nor an entourage of groupies to dote on us.

It's only money, and there will always be more. Some budgets differ greatly from others and this is the "pay to play" league. To play harder, spending harder is a more aggressive key to success.
