Default Carbotech brake pads

For some odd reason I am having trouble finding vendors who carry Carbotech Panther Plus brake pads for my 07 vette (Z51). I found them at ZIP but always like to have a couple of prices. Any suggestions? Thanks

www.pfyc.com/
and direct from Carbotech:
ctbrakes.com/pads/chevy.html

If you call them direct, you'll get a different price each time you call. Try it.

10% off if you mention the CF. Btw, they're very helpful with pad selection as well. Tell them how you're using the car, your driving style, type of track and they'll set you up with the pad you need.

Call Larry Narcus at Carbotech. go with his pad reccommendations for your application. I used Panther Plus pads for a few sdeasons, and whatever else he told me to use.
With that said, I prefer Hawk HT10s up fron and Hawk blacks in back.
Wilwood H were my last racing pad (w Wilwood calipers), very inexpensive, pad price difference paid for the caliper swap in less then a season. Hawk HT10s are still my favorite for SCCA racing fronts.
Panthers for open road racing, high speed events and street track use but lots of dust.

I've switched to Carbotechs on my C-6 Z06 and have had good results !!! I ordered them direct, with good support from both Danny & Janine.

I was using Wilwood both... J & H's on my C-5's... but Wilwood hasn't offered pads for the new Z06.

That said, I'll be staying with Carbotech. the Carbotech's are "friendlier" on the rotors, and stop just as well.

Thanks to all for your input. Called them direct and received about 10% off on the Panther Plus replacement, the AX6. I have gotten great "mileage" out of the Panther pads I have in my car now. Squeal when brakes first applied on most corners but not bad. PFYC was second price-wise, only about $15 more than Carbotech direct. But that money will buy me at least two gallons of premium fuel!!!

When I think about pads, Hawk HT10s are still my favorite up front. Great stopping, seemingly low torque and easy on the rotors

Try the XP12s on your next event and then tell me what you think.

Didn't realize Larry had sold the company. Guess he was ready to retire. FYI, I usually got mine direct from Carbotech as well, though believe that forum vendor pfyc.com sells them at reasonable prices as well.

Yeah, Larry has been hanging around as a "contractor" making sure that the Puskar's don't have any issues, but he'll be heading to AZ permanently...very shortly. He's a good friend, has been very good to me, and really progressed Carbotech up the charts. It's in good hands though.

I retire from the Army in about a year and a half so Carbotech may add yet another racer to their staff.

I have - they are not worth the extra pad/rotor wear and hassle over XP8/10s - maybe in a 25 minute T1 race. I will be getting a few more XP12s front sets to balance out the large volume of rears I have but then I will go back to less "aggressive" pads.

The guy I talked to at Carbotech last time I ordered a bunch of pads said once I got fast I would have to step up to a better pad.....I took it well...

need to order some fronts for NCM and CHin in about 10 days as a matter of fact
