Default T1 Sway Bars

Can you mount the T1 sway bars on a C5 just using the GM metal end links or do they require the T1 end links?

As far as I know you can just fine... but you can't corner weight the car w/o adjustable endlinks to set the bar pre-load at 0.

Default T-1

You would be foolish to not use the adjustable end for these bars. More than likely by using the fixed end links you will be putting pre-load on them due to lowering and the variables in each car . MAKE sure you use the T-1 brackets too. If you reuse the stock brackets you WILL but the bars in a bind which again preload the suspension and make the car dangerous. They sell these bars as a KIT for a reason! My $.02.

If noise is a concern, use an OEM on one wide and a adjustable heim on the other. Still adjustable, but will cut noise in half.

Thanks! Sounds like this should work for me.

the holes in the T1 bars are slightly larger diameter than the bolt diameter of the stock links. They require a sleeve to be machined or they make LOTS of noise. I'm in the process of building a set of adjustable links for mine....

The answer to your question is that you need to use the T1 end links with the T1 bars. Look at the picture below:

.

Also, if you install T1 bars with T1 bushing, you should install two flat washers under each bolt to prevent bar bind and excessive bushing noise.
