Default One Lap Car & Driver Article is out

Buy me a membership while you're there. I'll let you drive my SL65AMG for a few laps.

Great news, espcially as I am getting ready for the drive to Watkins Glen next week. 4 hour drive versus 30 minutes.

I'm going up to WGI for the 16th/17th with pda. I think as of right now there are 6 CF members going. Have fun. I did make it there today and a lot of land has been cleared and rough graded.

I'll be at the Glen in the new yellow Z!

I have been following Thuderbolt closely. I am told it is being built to host races like Champ and ALMS as well as plenty of driver school days. I will say that it looks SUPER FAST, I hope there is plenty of run-off space!

Look forward to meeting you, I'll be in the red02Z06, black stripes. Its going to be one of the premier setups in the world. 11 different configurations, karting, condo's, garages, etc... I went into the airfield museum, pretty cool. Thunderbolt fighter squadron, first airport in the country. Shooting for June 2008 opening. If you look at their web site and click on the different track set ups, the second one from the top(the big daddy)) it has 3 WGI type bustops

It's great to hear that this project is finally going forward. Hopefully, there will be lots of opportunity for "track days" events there for some of the private clubs. That would be very cool. I love Pocono, WGI and LRP, but having one right here in NJ will be absolutely fantastic.

George
I will be up at WGI on the 11th & 12th with the local BMW club racers. Perhaps we need a Forum event in the dirt at Thunderbolt!

I guess I've got about 10 months to buy and set up a car before the grand opening...

I'm really excited this is coming here.

Time to find a worn out FRC...
