Default Need advise on Inexpensive C6 Z06 track wheels

I’m looking for an inexpensive track wheel option (front and rear) for my C6 Z06. I would like 18” rears instead of the stock 19” to be able to run used race tires. I’ve seen several people use C5 Z06 rear rims all the way around but I am concerned that they are not wide enough for the possible 345/30x18 rears I may be running, even with 325’s I am concerned about the narrow C5 rim. What are my options other than 4000$ CCW’s?
Thanks

Before Hoosier came out with 19 R6's I got a set of C5 Z06 18"x12" wheels .

I only used them for 3 events if your interested. If you want to buy new ones, check out one of the wheel vendors. I think the pair new was $450+shipping.

If memory still serves me (often in doubt ) , two 18 x 11 and two 18 x 13 CCW C14 Corsair wheels were $2500. The finish isn't as nice as some of their competition, but the others are also 1.5X to 2X more $$$. These wheels give you a lot of tire options.

I have a C6Z06, and have gone through the same struggle, here is what I came up with...

A 19" 325 stock size Hoosier is $350, an 18" 335 is $342 (they don't make a 325 in 18").

So how much are you really saving by trying to find a set of 18" rims...$8 per tire?

So how much will you spend on a set of custom 18" rims to save $8 x 2 = $16 per season....$1800+

In the end I use my stock rims as my track rims and a set of chinese reproductions for the street...the cost of the repo's...$475 and they are actually made pretty well.

Factory Reproduction brand C5Z wheels. 18x12 rear and 18x10.5 front.

The fronts rub the brake duct at full lock.

House of Wheels. Bob knows his wheels.

Call John at CCW before you do anything. Here is the website:http://www.ccwheel.com/files/home.php great guy and super to deal with. He makes all of the wheels right there and can sell you tire-wheels and sensors complete. Buy directly from CCW thats the best deal on CCWs. JD

You are correct if I was only buying new tires. I'm look at a used racing scubs for 250-300 for a set of 4. Now if I could get used scrubs that fit stock rims I would be a happy camper
