Default Turn One Steering power pump users.... please go inside

After some problems at a TD y changed the PS pump with one modified by Turn one steering.

After some hot laps I realized that there was some smoke coming from the engine bay. When I opened the hood I noticed that the problem was due to some power steering overflowing from the reservoir.

I thought that the Turn one power steering pump would reduce the presure enough so this would not happen.

Are you guys having this problem?
Do you have any suggestions to avoid this from happening?
Could this mean that I will have problems eventually?

I am really confused here and have a Track day this Saturday and I am afraid that something could go wrong.

Please advice, thanks guys!

Sounds like it was overfilled or you may have a bad ps reservoir cap. I've never had that happen with my TurnOne pump.

We have to run a stock pump, but we start with the fluid level much lower than normal. We start it with the fluid just touching the bottom of the dip stick. That seems to work just fine and definitely limits the amount of fluid that splashes out.

I was having some PS issues a while back, I went with the turn one pump, added another cooler, and used synthetic fluid and never had a problem again.

I will try that. Would you recommend GM power steering fluid?

I have had the Turn One pump for over a year now and never had that problem. I keep my level between the tip of the dipstick and the line.

Yep. I now use their synthetic version (cold climate I believe) and have had no issues.
